D-DAY 80th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATION
Thursday 6th June 2024 marks the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings on the Normanby beaches that began the liberation of Europe and led to the end of the Second World War.
There will be a Pie and Pea Supper in Appleton Wiske Village Hall, followed by the lighting of a Beacon on the Sports Field later in the evening.
Full details will be posted on the Noticeboards. If you wish to take part in the Supper you must register with Jackie in the Post Office and pay £5 per head in advance by the 31st May.
