Despite the enthusiasm of a small group it has not been unable to recruit enough supporters and volunteers to make another Weekend viable. It is sad because the Festival has raised more than £25,000 over 7 years, and this has helped support many Village Organisations. Thanks to all who have been involved over the years.
During this year the village will be canvassed to see if there would be support for an alternative Village Event.
The Scarecrow Festival ran over 2 days from 1st – 2nd July 2017. It was a popular afternoon out and there was an opportunity to saunter round the village to find all the celebrity scarecrows. The event was a great day out for all the family and as well as the scarecrows there were many exciting stalls to visit.
